Palad Khik, Luang Phor Mayk

Plad Khik blessed by Luang Phor Mayk

Palad Khik blessed by Luang Phor Mayk could possibly be described as some of the least aesthetic, but appearance does not in any way reflect the power, quite the opposite.

In fact his Palad Khik are considered to be some of the most powerful ever to have been blessed.

His Palad Khik are quite extraordinary to look at in comparison with those created by other monks such as Luang phor Kong which are artistically carved and adorned with sacred katha,

Having said that many would argue that his Palad Khik are some of the most beautiful to have been created, outstanding in the natural simplicity.

He  created his Palad Khik from a unique wood known as Mai Kur believed to possess very strong medicinal properties and in particular a natural an anti-venom for snake bite

In Thai folklore it is said that the ancient Thai had learnt of this tree when a victim of a deadly snake bite had been revived from death after sap had dropped into his mouth.

Palad Khik created by Luang Phor Mayk were popular with those exposed to similar danger and in particular rural or agricultural communities where such a threat is  a very real and serious health hazard.  Working the rice fields, hours away from any medical assistance has been the cause of innumerable fatalities

In fact his Palad Khik were so famous for the purpose of protection  that many of his amulets also featured venomous snakes. Protection is one of multiple blessings that these Palad Khik are known for.

For example a Thai woman named Renu Sirayama, who had emigrated to Japan experienced an abnormal pregnancy. Doctors had advised that it was almost certain that the baby wouldnot survive full trem.

She recounted that despite the doctors opinion she went on to give birth to a healthy child. She attributed this to a Palad Khik blessed by Luang Phor Mayk that she had apparently ground a portion of and consumed. Even the medical staff professed total surprise.

Luang Phor Mayk had told his worshippers that his soul would  remain with them, through his amulets and Palad khik, even after death.
