Luang Phor Daeng, Wat Tungkok, Supanburi


Luang Phor Dang of Wat Tungkok was a former sacred monk of Supanburi Province. His amulets are very popular amongst collectors due to their efficacy and reasonable pricing.


Background

 

Luang Phor Daeng Wat Tungkok        Luang Phor Daeng was born on June 11th, B.E.2440  at Songpinong District, Supanburi Province.

From the age of 13 he was initially educated by an exceptionally famous monk of the same province, Luang Phor Nong, Wat Klong Madan

At the age of 20 years he was ordained a monk on June 1, B.E.2460, at Wat Tungkok, Supanburi Province.

Present at that ceremony were Luang Phor Niung of Wat Songpinong, Luang Phor Nong of Wat Klong Madan and Luang Phor Pern of Wat Songpinong, who acted as Pra Upacha, Pra Karmavacharcharn and Pra Anusavanacharn respectively.

Luang Phor Niung of Wat Songpinong was one of the sacred teachers of Luang Phor Sod, another famous monk from Wat Paknam, Bangkok.

Luang Phor Nong ie equally as famous with many of his pims now fetching in excess of 100.000 Thai Baht each .

Luang Phor Daeng was indeed fortunate to have been educated by two very high profile monks


 


Luang Phor Daeng had actually spent a period of 4 years at Wat Klong Madan learning sacred sciences from Luang Phor Nong before he returned to Wat Tungkok to be ordained.
